APPLES & PEARS
Honey stewed apples and pears with vanilla and cinnamon
A Fall favorite that makes a fabulous fruity topping for your oatmeal or overnight oats for breakfast.
It also works well as a base for a quick galette, cobbler, or muffins.
1 cup diced apples
1 cup diced pears
1 tbsp honey
1 tbsp lemon juice
1 tsp vanilla essence
1/2 tsp cinnamon
1/4 cup water
Granny Smith, Jonagold, Braeburn, or Honeycrisp
or Anjou pears
Stew the apples and pears in water, lemon juice, honey, vanilla, and cinnamon for 20 minutes on the stove until fork tender.
