No-Cook Pizza Sauce (5 Min.)

This no-cook pizza sauce is my go-to sauce for homemade pizzas – just add 5 ingredients to the blender and you’ll have a smooth, well-seasoned tomato sauce in a mere 5 minutes. No stove needed! Plus, you can easily make it ahead as the flavors intensify over time, making your next pizza night a breeze.

My husband and I bought an Ooni pizza oven for Christmas and ever since we’ve been testing out sauce and pizza dough recipes, and topping ideas of course.

After a few weeks of “pizzaring” with many fails involved, we’ve settled on this no-cook pizza sauce. It’s incredibly quick and easy to make in 5 minutes flat with just 5 ingredients – no stove needed.

Plus is stores well in the fridge and leftover pizza sauce can also be used as tomato sauce for pasta dishes such as my spaghetti and meatballs. It’s a no-cook marinara sauce if you like. A versatile, quick and easy, no-waste recipe is a winner in my books!

Ingredients and substitutions

Ingredients laid out to make no cook pizza sauce.
  • Tomatoes – I use diced tomatoes as I’m blending them with the fresh garlic but you can use already blended tomato purée such as passata. Don’t use concentrated tomato purée or tomato paste though as the flavor will be too strong. Some canned diced or whole tomatoes have a long list ingredients added including a fair amount of salt. I prefer to buy diced tomatoes in juice low in salt and season it to taste myself.
  • Garlic – Fresh garlic is best but you can use 1/2 tsp of ground garlic if needed.
  • Oil – Extra virgin olive oil adds some body and extra flavor to the sauce.
  • Seasoning – I keep it simple with salt and black pepper only as I’ll add all the flavor with the toppings. You can add herbs such as dried or fresh basil and oregano or even some chili flakes at this point if you’d like to add more flavor at this stage.
