Ingredients and substitutions

- Toasted milk powder – You can toast whole milk powder easily in a pan or oven.
- Espresso – Freshly brewed espresso made with a coffee machine or Moka Pot is best but you can also make a strong filter coffee or use instant coffee if needed.
- Milk – I use whole milk for a rich flavor and creamy texture but you can also opt for skim milk as a lighter alternative. Plant-based options can be used as well.
- Vanilla (optional) – I like to add vanilla syrup for some sweetness and extra flavor but that’s optional.
